SHU is the creation of Giacomino Drago, the well-known chef and restaurateur behind several restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area, including Celestino, il Pastaio, Panzanella, Piccolo Paradiso , Via Alloro and the new Yojisan Sushi.

Award-winning chefs Yoji Tajima and Leo Garcia serve exciting fusion dishes at SHU and Yojisan, taking the traditional Japanese offerings and adding a taste of the unexpected.


Giacomino himself describes the relationship between SHU and Yojisan to be like siblings; individuals with distinctive personalities, but the same roots, complementing each other while showcasing different strengths.
